Trentino-South Tyrol represents one of the most fascinating chapters of the Sentiero Italia, crossing the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites over 22 stages, with their pinkish vertical walls, bold spires, and spectacular glacial cirques. The route includes the famous High Routes of the Dolomites, legendary itineraries touching iconic mountain groups: Pale di San Martino, Marmolada (the “Queen of the Dolomites”), Sella Group, Rosengarten, and Latemar. Side valleys such as Val di Fassa, Val Gardena, and Val Badia preserve the Ladin culture, a linguistic minority with ancient traditions.
