Il rifugio Casera Ere è al contempo punto di arrivo per escursioni da semplici a di media difficoltà partendo dalla località di Roncoi nel Comune di San Gregorio nelle Alpi, come pure base di partenza e di arrivo per l'ascesa al monte Pizzocco, la cima più alta della zona.

Il rifugio ha una bellissima terrazza panoramica e un belvedere che si affacciano sulla valle del Piave, regalando una vista meravigliosa, in particolare la sera con le mille lucine dei paesi sottostanti. Sia a pranzo che a cena si possono gustare le specialità gastronomiche tipiche della zona, per cui il rifugio è molto apprezzato.  Il rifugio è anche un punto di decollo per chi pratica il parapendio. Aperto tutto l'anno il sabato e la domenica tranne che novembre e dicembre, nel periodo estivo è aperto generalmente dal 1° giugno al 30 settembre.  Nel prato antistante il rifugio ci sono alcuni giochi per bambini e la possibilità di stendersi sull'erba in totale relax. Il rifugio dispone di 16 posti letto suddivisi in 5 stanze con bagno in comune con doccia calda a pagamento (5 euro). I cani sono ammessi. La nostra struttura permette un alto livello di privacy essendo le camere da 2, 4 o 6 letti. Richiesto sacco a pelo o sacco lenzuolo. Disponibile federa in cotone a 5 euro.

ON FOOT

The hut can be reached by following the easy forest road which starts from the Roer car park (see specific directions below), taking path 851 immediately to the right after the barrier which marks the start of the forest road, and further along path 853. Continuing along path 851 you arrive at Forcella Intrigos, Palìa, Pizzocco and then descend to the hut, if you wish: it is therefore possible to follow a circular route in both cases. Alternatively, you can also start from further down (locality Roncoi, see details below).

BY CAR

The hut cannot be reached by car, it can be reached on foot or by mountain bike. The manager offers a shuttle service from Roncoi, which must always be arranged and booked with him.

You can leave your car at the LIGONT PARK, locality Roncoi, the hamlet above the village of San Gregorio nelle Alpi (BL), which is obligatory for campers. From hereit is about 6 km and 670 m of altitude difference to the hut. 300 m higher up there is a last car park (Roer), which can be reached via a narrow and at times steep road that is almost all asphalted. Here the carriage road, which is open to traffic, ends and the forest road begins, leading to the hut in about 3 kmand with a difference in altitude of about 350 m (average walking time about one hour); alternatively, you can take the path (marker 853).

Given the characteristics of the road, the route is also particularly well suited for mountain bikes, which can be easily rented in the area, and on foot, it is a beautiful walk in all seasons, even in snow!

BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Take the train (or substitute bus) to the S. Giustina-Cesio station. Giustina-Cesio and then you have to look out for the Dolomitibus local transport services to S. Gregorio nelle Alpi.
