The hut is located in a green and spacious basin, from which there is an impressive view of the east face of Monte Rosa, 3 km high and 5 km wide, and of the Belvedere glacier in front, whose impressive seraccata reaches a short distance from the hut.

Because of its characteristics, the hut is particularly suitable for those sections or self-managed groups that wish to introduce young people to hiking, rock climbing, ice progression or simply spend a holiday.

The hut can be reached from Pecetto (Google Maps, Apple Maps, Waze), the last village in the Anzasca Valley, on foot or by chairlift up to the Belvedere and from there a 10-minute descent to the green basin below where the hut is located. On foot, starting from the valley station of the chairlift, climb up a cart track through the woods and meadows to Alpe Burki, in about 30 min. walk, where the first section of the chairlift also arrives; leaving it behind, continue for a few minutes, then turn right (signposted Belvedere) and enter the woods. Along a path with some steep parts, but always in the shade, in about half an hour you reach a col below the lifts, from where you can see, through the tall needle trees, the hut, which can be reached through the meadow in front.
